Help with aeroponic propagator!!

Just bought an aeroponisc propagator a few months ago and its not been going to plan. I have a 20 site tray with the net pots in and the propagator is unheated. I have bought a water heater which sits in the tank and put my clones in rockwool, soak, then spray intermittently when they are drying out untill roots poke through then its on full time.
My first attempt did not go well, my clones pretty much died, they went yellow first and just started to wither. I have two great strains that I want to keep and dont want to kill them, I had 100% success rate with my normal propagator and want to master the aeroponics now.
I have a small Budbox tent 65cmx65cmx100cm, a 200w blue spectrum eco light, air temps and humidity are fine I just need to know:

1) what is the best water temp to adjust my water heater accordingly?
2)What is the best PH for the water to be in aeroponic propagators?
3)I have timers, what would be the best schedule if any to set the spray on once I have wet the rockwool initially?

Any help is greatly appreciated and if good will earn a plus rep as I alot of hard work has gone into theses strains I want to keep, I DO NOT want to kill them againkiss-assover to you.......

i know exactly what would help you, i think people who clone in RW should be expierienced, people usually keep the rockwool too wet, your clone sprays a mist of water at the bottomes of the net pots right? you really need to get neoprene collars and have the stem hanging in mid air and have the spray hit the stem directly, you will have roots in 3 days like this, no matter water temp....your current setup keeps the rockwool too wet at all times and starves the clone of oxygen....the whole point of fast rooting is all oxygen...put it on a cycle timer, 15on 15 off should be fine i know people on here keep it 24/7 with no ill effects...dont forget you need the neoprene collars to match the size of your lid holes

another thing about rockwool, if you were to get it wet, it could stay without going dry for a few days...so think about if your cloner sprays its for example 5 times daily, still too wet

Thanks for your quick reply. I have used rockwool and jiffy pots in normal propagators with 100% success for my last 3 grows. I dampen the rockwool(not soak) and let them sit in the nets, the spray does not come on untill I see roots coming out of the rockwool. I have the neoprene collars but my dilema is that I am transplanting from the aeroponic prop to coco or soil in pots so the rockwool acts as a little stabilizer. How would I transplant out of the net directly into soil, can I just put it in or could I half a rockwool cube and wrap it round the stem??

i know what you mean about the RW stabilizing and basically holding up the clone, it can be done with no problem, having a nice root system going and bury it in soil, now if you already have roots coming thru a RW cube you really shouldnt have any issues cus you are home free, just transplant as you would normally do it, the only thing i can think of that would mess you up from here is EXTREME conditions, like nasty water, or water over 75F...let me ask, you dont have any nutes in the water do you? you said your leaves turned yellow and died, what happens with clones is when they are trying to root, all the plants energy is directed at forming a root and not feeding, since there are no roots to feed the plant, from here the plant starts to feed on any food in the leaves starting at the bottom leaves , in my experience this always happens and its never that bad where the plant is dead before it roots, do you mist the leaves? how long do your roots get before you turn on the sprayers? in your system i wouldnt turn on the sprayers until i see quite a few roots poking out and close to an inch long, any shorter than that and most of the developed roots are still hiding in the rockwool and being suffocated if too wet if you turn the spray on too soon

another trick is, roots are like scavengers, they hunt for water, they will grow fast and long if you spray less

I haven't got as far as using nutes yet, I would wait till a good few roots are poking out, just really dont want to kill them again, dont even want slight yellowing if it can be helped

And PLUS rep for you my good man, thanks for taking the time to help a fellow grower.

expect yellowing aslong as theres no nutes, im sure u know by know Nitrogen is the first to go as the young plants use this from the start....let those roots get long before you mix in nutrients, but your going into soil so it wont matter, i hope this helps you and i hope you get a bangin crop going
