Eagle 20EW, I swear to all that is holy your PM issues are OVER. 2ml/gal + RO + emulsifier (ivory dish soap, penetrator etc.) and make sure your environment is dialed in. It is systemic for up to 24 days so DO NOT spray during FLOWER to be safe. Many people as well as myself have proven its success on ICMag you can search for it.

I can't get rid of the slime. It forced me to go to rockwool which is quite easy. I was thinking of trying UV but speculate if that will work either. The whole point of it is to be "EZ" and I really don't want to brew teas all the time... sticking a cutting and turning it on for up to 2 weeks is so much more appealing. But I sure miss those media-less clones for hydro. Kinda funny how it just appeared one day after a year of EZ use. :(

I hear this somewhat often form ppl with slime problems. Vinegar/lemon juice/baking soda is a no-no in a DWC as well as any organic based PH adjuster. The substances themselves aren't a problem but they do amount to organic material in your res, which normally leads to slime. (especially if the vinegar has had a chance to turn to mother of vinegar) The good news is people who get it from vinegar can normally get rid of it easier if it's not allowed to grow and spread.
Yeah, the problem here is that live-culture vinegar creates its own growth on top of the original growth problem.

I got this nasty brown slime in one of my ebb and flow systems. I was able to stop it with 10ml of 70% neem (per 40-gallons) and 90ml of H2O2 (per 40-gallons). That also included lifting each plant and wet-vacuuming out the *nasty* debris in the bottom of each fill bucket (whatever they are called) and from the pump well. Then did a barrel water change, including a scrub of the barrel...all whilst plants were trying their best to grow. It worked. Obviously the plants produced less due to the root destruction, but they did bounce back. Still, it was a 40% crop loss.

It still seemed like crop chemotherapy to me. I'm working on some cultural control standards in concert with some sort of (minimalistic, organic-as-possible) prophylaxis/prevention. When I firm it up I will post my results here...both for the aeroponic cloner and the ebb and flow system. I'm leaning toward neem since it is such a stellar disinfectant and doesn't come with a lot of nasties.

Going to try a 5-hour aeroponic disinfection. One system with neem and one with Physan 20. It's in-progress, actually.
