HELP- white dots appearing on my plants

I have 3 plants growing outdoors with aprox. 12 hours of sunlight a day. 2 plants have, since this week, white dots on their leaves.
The plant on picture #1 and #2, which is 7 weeks old, has fewer white dots and only on the middle-bottom leaves.
The plant on picture #3 and #4, which is 5 weeks old (it's very small for its age probably because it was a bad seed), has white dots all over.
What are these white dots (maybe mites?) and what can I do to get rid of them? Can they kill my plants if I just leave them there?
