HELP! Whats wrong with my plant? I cant figure it out.

Hey all you fellow greenthumbs out there, I have a problem with my plant I believe it could be a pH problem or drainage problem but not sure. Beacause I have two plants in the same medium ones a week younger but doesnt have any problems except it looks like it could use some nutes now. But here is a picture of my Plant that has a problem it is 27 days old I added a teaspoon of 5-1-1 Fish emulsion about 2 weeks ago. the medium I am using is a mix of 10% miracle grow moisture control, 40% worm castings "poo", 25% Perlite, 25% vermiculite. The pot I have it in is a 25cm pot and I had to drill some more hoels in the bottom. I did a flush becasue I thought maybe it was getting nute lockout becasue of the drainage issue I feel is wrong, Thats why it looks overwatered, But its been looking like this for a while i've been trying to find a answer forever now. I just started balancing the pH of the water im using to the soil and comes out to 6.5. Becasue I thought this was the issue but my other plant gets the same regimant of this plant and is doing just fine. Oh yeah and this plant smells really lemony, it smells good but looks like its dying. There is also a seedling that misteriously got in to the one thats doing bad and i let it grow just to see how it did and it has the same problem. and the plant to left is my other plant thats doing good I also threw another pic in of it to im sure you can tell which one is which. Please help. Thanx to all.

Thanx for the Reply, Sorry I forgot to mention that I am using CFL's I have 10 26 @ 6500k watters & 1 32 @ 2700k watt = 292 watts and 18160 Lumens. I have them aprox. 3" from my ladies. Well i dont want this one to die do you have any suggestions or remedies?

It looks like nute burn to me as well. One of the things you should do is stop growing in that particular mix/medium. It's a lot easier to go with a 70:30 or 60:40 cocoerlite if watering by hand. If you're going automated 30:70 cocoerlite works well. I would go and buy some Flora Kleen and flush your plants with two times the amount of water/flora kleen that your container holds. The books I've read say to use three times as much water, but I haven't found that to be necessary. I've also tried both the Flora Kleen and Clearex. I like the Flora Kleen better and it's slightly cheaper.

I wouldn't use miracle grow ever! But you're kinda stuck with it now.

The other problem you're having is it sounds like you're putting your pH too high. I'm not that familiar with the miracle grow moisture control. Is that soil? Even if it is, it sounds like you only have 10% soil. It sounds to me that the mix you've created is mostly hydro. To be honest your mix is totally messed up. The problem is having like a soil/hydro mix. I'm not sure where you put the pH for that. The soil will work best at 6.5, but the hydro part will work best at 5.8. So you really need to choose whether you want to be a soil grower or a hydro grower.

What soil do you recommend that is common to find? I here all kinds of stuff about Fox Farms and all that stuff, the only problem is I am very limited on what I can get becasue of my remote location so I dont have access to very much growing supplies. I grow lots of vegetables, I usally use a soil/compost/dirt mix in all of my vegetables and they grow increadable!!! I would like to use this mix for my MJ the problem is I got all technical on my soil for my MJ and I think that is a noob mistake, putting to much thought into it. I would use my regular mix for my MJ also, but i've read not to bring outside soil inside becasue of pests and all that kinda stuff, and I am not about to throw that stuff in my oven. I would grow outdoors but I dont have a discreet location to grow outside, even though I am a MMJ Card holder, I dont want to advertise. So i figured my problem is my soil mix. Although majority of my mix consits of worm castings. Because worm castings tend to be muddy and compact when you water it I mix a good amount of perlite and vermiculite in there just to fluff the worm castings up. And only god knows why I would ever put miracle grow soil in there as well. So where does the hydro part come into play in my mix?? I dont want to grow hydroponics fore various reasons...ever tasted a tomato thats grown in hydroponix. Its not near as good as any tomato grown in soil. So I would assume it would be the same for MJ. So would it be possable to change my medium this late in a grow. I flushed my plant with pH'd distilled water Yesterday in attempt to clean out the soil a little bit. The run off came out at 6.0 and the water I pH'd at 6.5. I have litmus paper which isnt that accurate I know. Then I tested my soil with a Rapidtest soil tester and it's at 7.0 which isnt accurate eathier but should be ball park otherwise they woudlnt sell those things right? Im trying to get one of those little electricprobs to test my water and soil. Another thing thats a big odd here, is my plant that is a week younger and is in the same exact mix is doing fine in fact I looks like it needs to be fead. The seeds I got came from the same bag as well. So I am stumped all I can really do Is to sit back and watch my poor plant suffer. I dont know what to do. Any words of wisdom will be greatly apperciated.

I think it's true that you can get better tasting weed from growing organically in soil. However, to me it's not that big of a deal. It's not like you're going to eat the weed. I've found that you can get really good tasting weed going hydro as long as you give the proper ratio of nutes at the end. Also, making sure to flush and use up all the available nitrogen in the plant is very important. Curing the plant properly is also important. If you do all these things correctly, you should get some really good smelling and tasting weed, when you're done (even if it's hydro grown). Advanced Nutrients makes a really good product called Final Flush that I recommend you buy.

But if you want to go organic (and I'm definitely not against it...actually I prefer it). I'll give you a link that has some really good growing instructions for making your own soil. Here you go

It's not too late to transplant either. My advice is follow the instructions in the link that I've attached and transplant as soon as possible. Also, hurry up and get a pH meter. I've had my cheap Hannah meter for a couple years now and it works great. Also, you don't have to calibrate it that often as long as you use the Hannah made pH probe storage solution. I think my meter only cost 40$.

What type of water are you using? I hope it's not tap water.... If it is, stick with distilled. If you have the money, I recommend you but a RO machine. A cheap one will cost you under 200$.
