Help the rooted clones need nutes! (And I don't know what to give them!)

Hi all..

I've been rooting some clones and they successfully rooted...
They yellowed before they rooted and they are continuing to yellow and I was wondering what can be done about this now/in the future?

I'm a new gardener, new to cloning, and this was my first batch. 4/8 have shot some nice 3-4" roots out of the plugs I put them in..

They're all yellowing though. I haven't given any of them nutes besides dipping them in some auxins for rooting..
They've received only water since then..

What are some ways to keep the leaves green/what type of nutes are good to use? Thrive alive?

Any suggestions or info on what people use to keep their clones looking healthy until they root, as well as what to give them after they root to replenish them would be very much appreciated. I'm scared these 4 with awesome roots coming out of the plugs are going to die within the next week and they are looking worse and worse every day (and I have the feeling it's because they're only getting water)

Thanks a lot,
J

Just give them good PH water, and put them in soil or whatever you are doing. That happend to me also and i just have good lighting 3-26watt cfl and works for 4clones. leaves turn yellow and dying but after its rooted give it 3-4 days and youll see..

Hi,
thanks for the reply man, that's exactly what I've been doing though and it doesn't seem to be good =x
I have the water PH'd @ 6.5 is this right?

Does anyone else have any ideas? It's been a week since the first roots grew long enough to start showin thru the sides of the rooting plugs, and now each plant has about 20-30 individual roots sticking 2-4" out of the rooting plug..

They are indeed getting more and more yellow every day, and almost appear to be dead as of now in regards to their color.

The healthiest one has about 30% green and the yellowest one has ZERO % green... it's ALLL yellow..

If anyone has any idea on anything I can give them to help them out i would really appreciate it.
These clones came off a plant that was getting ONLY water for 1-2weeks before I clipped them. They haven't had any nutes since, besides whatever may or may not (due to improper rinse/draining) be in the rooting plugs.

I DO NOT WANT MY BABIES TO DIE! hehehe. These are genetics I do NOT want to lose. They are the genetics I've been smoking for the last few months and I JUST got my hands on them and have wanted these forever...

Now that I have them I will do anything it takes not to lose them.

Plleeasse help me!! haha

hydro or soil? give them half nutrients and sit back smoke one and let em go for a couple days....you could also try a very very very weak nute solution and foliar feed.

try rhizotonic 1/4 strength and somethin with vitamin b and phosphorous at 1/4 strength as well.Works good for me.Fox Farm ocean forest works great for soil.

Is it possible you have to much lights on the clones or to close they are really sensitive, specally if the mum has ben on low wattage.

really some clones dont handle alot of light the first 10-15 days

my opinion good luck

If your clones were near a flower room with high levels of co2 they would turn yellow too. but if you want them to stop or get greener then give them some light nutes depending on how you took the cuttings if you use an aero cloner you can just put hydroponic ferts in at 1/4-1/2 strength if you use soil I would use a soil that contains low to no ferts and let them grow. really they have just depleted every bit of N around them and they need more, all that other stuff like the vitamin b will just help with the stress aspect of the problem

I don't off the top of my head but I did read that on here and I know its true cause my cloning room is inside my flower room and they always turn yellow but right when they get roots i add about 1/5 strength nutes and they grow like crazy

are u using a dome ? also lights should not be too close and moved in closer as the plants grow older the dying off could simply be from shock its not uncommon for some clones to have some shock death but kept in good moist conditions will bounce back. you could try spraying leaves with ph'd water but if they have good roots doubt thats the problem most likely shock
