Help Sexing

Hello there RIU members,

I am currently on day 2 of flowering (I vegged for almost 35 days, so they are relatively mature plants) for 13 plants (4xWhite Widow, 4x Crystal, 5x Ice) in a 4x4 tent w/ 1x600W HPS.

This is my first experience with cultivating this plant, so I am not exactly sure how to tell the difference (though I have stared at all the examples, etc, long and hard and just don't want to make a mistake--like kill a female).

Is it just too early to tell still? I generally hear it takes 2-3 weeks into flowering, but I was wondering if that is from cuttings, rather than seeds.

3 photos each of the first 4 plants.

I see what looks to be males at some nodes of a plant, and then look at another node and I get confused on the same plant.

Thanks in advance! There's more information in my grow journal (what soil, nutes, etc is being used).

I just went through this myself this last few weeks. I cant tell from the photos though. I dont think they are showing yet. If you have turned the clock to 12/12 you will know soon enough. They should probably start showing in the next few days. Good luck to ya!

2nd pic is a male. to early to tell with the rest

Thanks! That's kind of what I figured, I'll probably wait a few more days and document pictures of each plant and throw them back up here for some help if I can't figure them out by then.

You need to send pics in a week i cant tell shit but the males almost always show first

So this isn't quite a week, but it's been a few days now of 12/12 and I've definitely been able to find what I think to be 3 males, and some I'm a bit on the fence about.

Here's the format, it's heavy in pictures, sorry:

4 pictures of each plant, plants referred to as #s 1-13, there's 51 pics (should be 52, but somewhere after #8 I forgot to take a 4th pic of one, just not sure...so after 32 pics, they might be jumbled on the plant #s... :joint:

)

So here's #1 (0857-0860) and #2 (0861-0864)

I was on the fence with #1, but I think it's female, or too early.

#2 I think is female, or too early.

#3 (0865-086

is a male, I am pretty sure.

#4 (0869-0872) is female, I think...or I could just be hoping they're all female and they're too early to tell

They all look too early to tell in my opinion. You'll know when they're sexing. Is this your first grow? After you see them for the first time you'll know what you're looking for in sexing them. It was hard for me on my first grow. . . even when I saw pics.

#7 81-84 is a fem or too early

#8 85-88 is a male

#9 89-92 is a fem i think, but i'm not sure (on the fence, maybe a male?)

#10 93-96 i'm not sure...maybe a fem, but on the fence again

#11, 12, 13 (4x pics each, in that order) not really sure about, hoping for females..

yeah first grow...should i but #3/5/8 back in the tent? I was fairly sure they were male...they have 'sacks'

I'm sure there are a bunch of other people out there that are better at sexing than I am. Honestly I can't tell yet from your pics at the beginning of page 2. I think the sixth pic looks male but I'm not positive yet.

I think I'm just paranoid of the females getting pollinated, so I pulled the #3, 5, and 8 plants from the tent, but I just put them back in...

#'s 3,5,8 were males I'm sure. I would have pulled them myself. You did a good job spotting them. And I know its hard to kill a plant until your 100%.
but I'm sure their males man!
I'm pretty new to this too.

I try and look at it like spotting enemies lol

Dude ... you will know when it's time ....

Be patient I just had to pull 3 males out of 6 plants.....

Just be sure , I think I have one more that's a Hermie....

The male pollen doesn't mature for a while ...

calm down , your growing weeds ....
