I was interested in starting up a new grow. I currently have 2 royal queen northern lights auto and a pineapple chunk and lsd. I was attempting a organic soil grow. Now I changed my mind and decided to go back to a new planning bord.......... heres the stats.
Grow room overall size 7×8 ft
Available grow space 3×8ft
One window for ventilation. I have some funds not a lot so please keep in mind. Im looking to produce alot of high grade medicine for as little time as possible with out automatic strains. So please give me some input. Im looking for hydroponic systems, whats most effective? What nutrients? Lightning? Is it really possible to harves a pound every few months with cfl? Please any help would be great.

with out autos
that means u need a cloning set up ............so that is hydro (u can do soil but u will not get the same reaction in weight as do with hydro )

and hydro /cloning cost the most .....all the gear and chemicals needed

so here it is
1 u need a mothering tent with a clone station
2 u need a veggie area
3 u need a flowering area
4 u need a drying area

since it is not a auto the timing of the lights so u need to control the area they are in and the light
18/6 for mother clones and veggie .........12/12 for flowering

your area is to small for all this i have a 12x12x7 room and it only leaves me enough room to move around and work 1 3x3 2 4x4 and 1 5x5 tent

.... I clone in my veg room. (one of my 125w CFLs) [20/4]
Got a tray of root tiot cubes (free clonex gel included)
got a 8-10" dome top for it (the tall one)
grabbed the heat mat they put on the shelf with them, it does amazing things to rooting time.
got 3 disposable scalpels... oh, and I stole a bamboo skewer from work (a pack really but shh) [just for lifting cubes out to check for roots]

Whole cloning setup costed less than $50, no special room, nutes, etc.

Don't get me wrong, I HAVE a mister cloner bucket, but.... its just a pain. The results have slightly lower success rates for me than in the rooting cubes.

Go from cloner to a bucket (smart pot) of happy frog (or FFOF wutever ya do) and veg out for weeks if ya want. Then [if u can, give them 24-48hrs uninterrupted DARK, I use a big sealed box popped over them] pop them into the 12/12 room and start feeding bloom nutes....

Hydro costs a lot, ur constantly checking stuff, changing things out... its only easy when the grow size gets large, or the (successful) grow experience level rises... til then, K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid) Its hard to fuck up dirt... I use happy frog, its got more than enough naturally in it (most any store-soil will) to carry them right thru the veg phase on just water (+cal/mg if ur RO filtering it seems.. added filter few months ago lol)

Once u got a few under ur belt, the grow is stable, and ur budgets a bit more friendly, start playing with a DWC bucket or 2... see what ya think.

Hehe... my drying area is a PVC frame i made, wrapped in B/W poly, topped with a box fan, lol.... Im so bad *shakes head*

I let her roll in my bathroom when its dry time, n let the ceiling fan push the smell out the top of the house
