shud i put seedlings once they sprout under light or giv them a dark period first?

You can introduce them to light as soon as they sprout. Just use caution with heat and intensity

put them under a light once they sprout. There's no need for a dark period until you start to flower.

absolutely... even having a fan on too high or too direct can cause them to be damaged and look burned. They are delicate at this stage.
