Hey, I went to look @ my seedlings today and the leaves are turning brown on the tips any idea what could cause this?

more details are necessary. how old, what medium/soil, have you been giving it ferts? What's your water like, etc etc.

Yeah, we need more details, and a pic would be helpful. But first off, what are you feeding it? ...and how much at a time?

Just plain water with a 7ph there about 3 weeks old, they are in organic mirical grow soil with some mixed perlite

The pH could be lower, 6.5 or so. The leaf tip burn is probably from the miracle grow soil; I assume it's MG perlite as well? That has trace nutrients. Leaf tip burn in seedlings can also sometimes be a result of high dissolved minerals in your water, the best stuff is RO which you can buy from the dispenser in the supermarket. The bottled stuff tends to have minerals added back for taste, which defeats the purpose for horticulture.

Anyway, don't feed your plants. They should have plenty from the MG soil until you are ready to bloom them or near enough.

Indoor, outdoor? What are the temps like? If outdoor, any bugs around? What's the humidity like?

the temp is around 80F and the humdity is around 55% and it is indoors under 6 6500k CFL's

also will the leaves go back to green or should i cut the brown off?

If you are keeping your MG soil to wet it might be over feeding your girls which would result in nute burn

This poster is correct.

Don't cut off your leaves; they are damaged, not dead. Just let it grow through this; water when the pot is light when you lift it, not before.

And about not feeding them, I'm not to sure on that one, I have used MG soil for all my plants so far and NONE of them have ever made it to flowering with just the nutes in the soil, i have found that the nutes in the MG last about 3-4 weeks from seedling, then its time to start feeding.

But yeah i had the same problem just let it dry out and give it a good watering and make sure you let it dry each time before the next watering

I confess, I've never used MG. I was just trying to make sure the OP didn't overfeed them. Much easier to fix underfeeding, eh?

I've learned everything I know about growing here; it's only natural that some of the info is stuff I've never used. LIKE MG LOLOLOL

Yeah same here, learned it all here. And i have also learned about things that i have never done better to know than not to know i suppose lol
