hey guys so i am new to this so please dont judge. i have 5 plants in 2 weeks 4 days of flower and i was wondering if i can cut of leaves near new growth shoots below to create another top ? (so its exposed to more light ? or do i just leave them and they will grow out as the flowering time progreses ? as i dont want to cut lower leaves off and stunt growth but they are getting in the way also.....

as its getting quite crowded the shoots below are not getting much light as they are all shaded from the growth above dunno what to do really

The secret is to try not to have lower growth.
But if it's too shaded, you can take a few fan leaves to get better light.

Considering you don't look to be flowering hard yet, I'd go for it.

What kind of light you using?

If it doesn't have enough penetration, the lower bud sites and branches don't get much light anyways. I wouldn't worry too much about lower bud sites or the lower fan leaves that are covering up said bud sites.

is it worth cutting the lower leaves back to allow the new growth tips to come through or will they not yield anything anyway ? as i could make them into a new cola couldnt i ?

i read up somewhere its possible thats why i was just asking . what do u think a weed plant roughly 2 foot when finished will yeild ? the tall ones are about 20 inch at moment with multiple colas. is there a rough estimate i can go by per plant ?

If you let them get light, they get bigger and harder. You won't get much verticality out of them at this point, but at least let them try to harden up.

Check into defoliation techniques.

how much do u think a plant around 2 ft when finished will yeild ? for example a plant like this

Try not to cut the leaf off, it's what fuels photo synthesis and gets you the flowers your after! Look into scrog to actually expose the bud sites without losing the leaf.

hahah why does everyone say that ?
Because you can never tell really how much you're going to get off a plant, it's such a newbie question so we can be a little sarcastic with the question kind of a Rite of Passage welcome to the club we've all done it once!
