Help please!

Hi All

I've just started to grow my 1st plant and i think i may have made a big mistake, one of my friends came around the other day and suggested i clip the top of the plant off, me being a novice i did as he said, as he said it would cause a bigger yield, however its been 2 days since i clipped it and i am wondering if i have done more harm than good.

I have attached 2 pictures for you to look at, one is of the top where i clipped the top off, and another is of the plant.

The plant is about 6 weeks old.

Any advice or information would be hugely appreciated, many thanks.

*Bump* - sorry to be an impatient git, but does anyone know if my plant will be ok, should i just leave it as it is, thanks in advance

what is your setup like?? maybe its me but tha plant looks really stretched like you dont have a sufficient source of light or its too far away from the plant
