Hi all,
So I have decide to have a go at growing my own weed.
There is so much information out there that im not really sure what is right and what is not. So I just have some general questions about my set up and plan for my seeds and would really appreciate it if you guys could post if im doing anyting seriously wrong.

So firstly I have ordered some seeds (green-o-matic)
I plan to germinate them on some damp tissue paper in a dark, humid-ish room

Now I am not sure what to do next. I plan to grow my plants using an ebb and flow hydroponic system. So my first question is what medium should I use in my pot? is just a massive lump of rockwool ok to put the newly sprouted seed on? Or should i be using something else.

Also Is it ok for me to completely submurse the seedling in water during the flood stages of the cycle? Or does the plant have to be stronger before it can tolerate this?

My final question is how often should I flood the plants? And for how long?

Sorry if some of these questions have really simple answers but i just cant seem to work them out and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advanced

I doubt you want to drown your seeds. They need to breathe and at the early stages so long as they stay moist you will not need to run your system with anything but tap water that has been PH'd.

I start my seeds in 1" rockwool but place them in DWC so transferring to E&F just depends on your medium rather you keep upgrading the rockwool as the plant gets larger or you grow in hydrotron and let the roots go in the rocks, just personal preference.

I germinate my seeds by placing them on a wet paper towel fold the towel over the seeds give it a couple of mists and place in a zip lock bag in a dark area. This maintains good humidity I check on the seed after 12 hours it will usually have a tap root by 24 hours.

but when should i transfer my seeds to my hydro set up? should i just keep them in the rock wool cube until leaves sprout? and if so do i just water the cube/seed with just water? or with nutritents too?
thanks for the info by the way.
