hey im growing outdoors in a pot, and everything seem to be doin ok til now, ive already established that i have a female white widow plant, but now the lowest branch has shrivelled up, and only the lowest branch, no other part of the plant seems to be harmed.... can anyone explain this and suggest what the problem may be?

Being outside something (bug or animal) could have hurt that branch in one way or another.

What kind of fertilizer are you using. When a plant isn't getting what it needs, it starts to use the nutrients in the older growth to support new growth.

How big is the plant? It would have grown to big and the lower branches dont get enought sun so the leafs will die, but i dont know about a branch. Iturn my pots 180 degrees every day.

well its prolly over 26 inches long but its bushy cuz its been topped accidently(natural disaster) i didnt even think it would live, yet alone turnin out female. but yeah.. i havent given it any nutrients yet im not sure which one to buy and how much its going to cost. any suggestions for someone on a budget?, it does sound like what CPH said was right though... maybe nutes will help?

You can find nutes at Wal-mart.

This is just my opinion but, for veg you want a fert that has a NPK ratio of something like 5-1-1. For flowering you want a ratio of 1-5-5. Those numbers are just for example purposes. Then I would give them the veg nutes until in full flower. Starting out with no more than 1/2 strength at first with both nutes.

Post a pic if you can. I have seen that problem before with root rot. The symptom was an entire branch would just die off. When I checked the node of the branch and main stem it was soft dead tissue. The problem would work its way up the plant killing off entire branches. Luckily I was able to harvest the plant before the entire thing died. I hope this is not the case for you. Good luck bro!

hmm shit.. thats not good at all if root rot is the case, im not able to put up pics currently but, shud the base of the stem be a very bright green? mine is not, its brownish but it feels firm still...
