Yo, need some advice on my SLH babe, she was fine a couple of days ago, vegging nicely.....

Then all of a sudden, she started wilting, seemed to be the day after i sprayed her with neem oil for spidermite protection...i just used plain tap water with the oil, no ph added. Doubt this is the cause of the wilting though.

Within 2 days shes gone from nice to not so nice, i dont know why, any ideas???

I havent changed anything, shes in hydro under a 600w light, clay pebbles, and half strength nutes, like i said she was growing lovely and then started looking weak for no apparant reason....leaves are all healthy green though...i dont get it.

My ring sprinkler pumps are on a timer, they water 15mins of every hour. Like i said, its been that way from the start and was fine, so i cant see whats happened to make them do this!

My temps are between 28-31 Celsius, slightly too hot i know, but ive grown plenty of times before and dont usually have problems with heat. My other 3 plants are growing in soil next to this one and they arent drooping at all, they look very strong and healthy. All the leaves are curling down on this one though....

Whats the humidity at?

Yepper. Friggin neem. I'm beginning not to like that shit. I think if I ever have a mite prob I'll take all my plants outdoors and spray the shit out of them with Floromite and Forbid combined. Once ought to do it. And I get my materials fo free from work.

Humidity is at 35%, same as it always is in my tent at this stage, if it is the oil then will it subside?? shall i wash the plant with plain water to try and rectify it?

You use neem oil right before lights off, and you're using something like dish soap or coco-wet with the neem and water right?
Also... make sure you aren't over mixing your neem oil it can jam up your plants stomata and suffocate it.. try rinsing it off with some water after you use neem too like after 3-4 hours.

Ok, if i just leave the plant and dont spray it any more, will it get back to normal or will it keep wilting and then die??

I think everyone is looking in the wrong place for your problem. When a plant wilts like that, it is generall over or under watering. Since you are in a flood & drain set up, underwatering is just about impossible without a pump/timer malfunction so overwatering has to be the suspect. Overwatering in hydro is essentially a lack of oxygen to the root zone. You are watering 15min/hr which is extremely agressive. 15 mins/4 hours is usual, 15 mins/2hours agressive. It is posible that you have a root problem, such as root rot, which would show the same symptoms. If you can, examine your roots, if they are not bright white, you have a problem. Also, change your timers to allow the roots more oxygen time. Your temps are also too high and humidity too low. Temps should be as close to 78(25) as you can get, 24-27 is ok though. Humidity should be 40-60% during veg. Neither of these issues is responsible for the wilting though. Check those roots dude and flood less. W

Only time will tell, You can't just not spray the plant anymore cause you need to have some sort of defense against pest.

You need to find the problem, and fix the problem.
It might of been that you mixed too much neem oil in your water, you have to make sure you don't do that cause its an OIL and OILS clog things.
Just don't spray anymore for like a week and go from there.
I would go read up a neem oil thread though so the next time you spray this doesnt happen again.

It's always better to get on this website before you do something and find out how to do it.
Than get on this website, make a thread, and title it :Help please! Plant wilting....PICS INCLUDE

Yes steezz I know wot ur saying, prevention is better than cure, I totally understand spraying plants, etc im not a novice at any of this though. Woodydude much apreciated advice il try that out, although ive never had a problem like this before and always water 15mins an hour. Im starting to think the roots may have started rotting, hard to tell as its only just started if it is root rot...
