hey everyone,

i'm having problems with my 1 week-olds and my 1-month old plants. There are yellow spots forming on a couple of the 1 weeks, and the same with the month old plants but they also have browning/drying around the leaf edges on top leaves. I gave the month olds 1 tbsp of 5-10-5 food mixed in the soil last time i watered them (4 days ago). The soil is still moist.

I used 4 parts miracle grow potting soil to 1 part vermiculite, 1 part pearlite, 1 part shagnum peat moss, and i mixed in a couple tbsp of garden lime to counteract any ph issues. Garden lime only in the older plants, not the babies. the babies have not received any nutes either.

temperature is about 83 degrees, humidity at 28%. 400 watt metal halide and 4 40 watt flourescent bulbs. a couple small fans for air flow, and some venus fly traps and fly paper for bugs.

am i looking at a nute deficiency? i've grown once before with only miracle grow soil and had few problems. help!

thanks.

Test the RUNOFF of your next watering for PH and PPM level. I'm betting they are both a little on the high side which young plants have a hard time dealing with.

I'd say it's just to early for the nutes. Try and water with PH'ed water for a few waterings and see if that makes it any better.

I second that motion...I'm no veteran but the NPK ratio on that MG seems a bit high for this stage. I would use something with a higher Nitrogen and a lower P & K and half it. The MG might have worked on yer last grow but different strains will react differently to MG and sometimes kill a little girl :-(. I've heard many growers say absolutely no on Miracle Grow. Stuff's great for tomatoes but no for the goddess. Good Luck.:joint:

i have no idea what i am talking about i seriously am just pulling everyones leg i didnt even know what mj was till three weeks ago...
