OK.....I have 10 seedlings that are 24 days above ground. They were in a habitat (hydrohut) at first and after 10 days stopped growing, and then 3 days later they started to yellow and some started to "nute burn"....although they never had nutes. So...I moved them into a plywood grow closet painted with elastomeric roofing paint. They went back to green, started to grow again, and just overall started healing and reviving. So, it was the hut. No doubt.
My set up in the new closet is a 3x3 ebb & flow, 400w MH light on 18/6 cycle, temp steady at 73 day/66 night, excellent air circulation with intake, exhaust and circulation 24/7, there is also a fan that blows on the plants themselves 20/4. I use tap water ph 5.8, and run 2 6" airstones to keep my res oxygenated, I feed 3 times daily for 15 minutes every 7 hours during light cycle.....8, 3 and 10. At 21 days old I added fresh water and AN 3 part nutes, mixed at 33% of recommended seedling strength. Nice response on the first two days of feeding. But now I am seeing some yellowing again on the inner leaves at the top....ne growth. I attatched a pic of my set up, 2 pics of the worst damaged plant, and a single pic of each of the other plants in a descending order of damage. The nute burn in the last pic is actually from what the hydrohut did.
SO.....what I would LOVE to know is what may be causing this new yellowing. I would like to correct it immediately. And maybe some one here can help. Maybe not. For some reason I get more help reading peoples responses to other pholks posts, as no one really ever answers mine. I guess I am too detailed.Oh well....I am just asking....HELP!!

Hi mate, not sure what the correct answer is but maybe the heat is effecting them... I have 2 2foot bubblelicous plants that I've been growing under no lights. Just purchased a 400Watt HPS Son-T, and set the lights about 19inch's above the plants and a few of the leaves have become what seems 'sunburnt', actually just in the middle of the leaves (see attached). Ive moved the light up to about 22inch above now so hope that it doesnt do the same...Any suggestions??? Sorry i couldnt be much help with your prob. Cheers

I actually just read about that tonight and the pics looked exactly the same as your plant. It is called leaf bleaching and yes it is because the light is a little too close to your ladies.:hump:

There were some known problems with the HydroHut and many people received replacement parts or their money back. I believe it was something about the material the frame is made out of, anyway it caused plants to turn yellow and die if left in the hut.

Do some searches about HydroHut problems and I'll try to find more information for you...

:peace:

Cheers bud! Thats helped a lot. Didint know such a site existed! haha.
Id better move those lights a little further away. How far off the tallest plant are yours??
And also, does anyone know how to get rid of bleaching??? Ive now moved the lights approx 22inch off the tallest shoot.... is that going to ok, not going to loose too much light am I??? Is the setup I have picture below adequate??

Problem id'ed...and hence shall be solved. MAD REP TO YOU CG!!!!

You are very welcome Platypusmann... I actually just came across that site a couple of days ago myself. Very very informative.:hump: Take care and happy growing. Keep it GREEN!

:confused:I am a first time grower. After 6 months of Failure, I have pretty much learned all I could on growing plants trying to figure out this YELLOWING from the center of the seedling spreading down the center of the first leaves to the tips and down each spine of the poor little leaf. then it dies after turning WHITE from the center out all the way to the tips. albino plants =.( Two days ago a good friend upset with my failure gave me 3 strong young plants all green growing and happy. Each with 4 tiers of leaves. After two days in my hydro hut the center top leave's are yellowing from the center out and turning WHITE just like all 112 dead seedlings did. Common factor is the Hydrohut. Now this is no joke. I just finished praying for god to help me figure out what has been killing all my plants and I found this post. Is hydro hut from the devil? hmm. I sure hope this is it and I have ended my curse its the only thing that makes sense.

So ya, Hydro hut was killing all my plants for the last 7 months and i couldn't figure out why till i found this forum. After a week all my plants are HEALTHY. Why? HYDRO HUT is OUT of my house and in the garbage where all the rest should go! 7 Months of electricity and nuts just GONE! Im going around and giving the Hydro hut recall to all the local store's that sell em. Either way this Horrible experience is over and now my room is GREEN. Ty to everyone having anything to do with this site! This is a prime example of people helping others outta the goodness of their hearts. God bless and good luck all.
