Hi guys,
Need some help. Having problems controlling temperatures in my tent as I just switched on my dual spectrum HPS. I didn't have the funds for multiple bulbs so had to go for that apart from I used a 125w cfl. Still seedlings but the school of thought I have read seems to be more lumens more growth so I made the switch. I have the HPS 2 ft above and this seems to be ok except for when I close the tent.
My Equipment is:
Secret Jardin tent - 90cm x 90cm x 180cm
400w HPS
Ruck 100mm Can-Fan with Carbon filter extraction
I was closely monitoring the temperatures as I know HPS can cause a huge rise and if I close the door it drastically increases to say 31 - 35c. This is with the fan going. It would appear that I need to buy another fan that actually has a bit more pulling power but the fan should pull 230m3/hour. I can keep the door open till they start smelling and then I am pretty screwed. I keep it in a cupboard in my bedroom with ceilings around 12ft high. Temperature in my room is at 18c. Low i know but it's cold this time of year and I thought this would help things inside the tent.
I was thinking of buying a used a/c unit and blowing that through one of the side vents. As this would come in slightly cheaper. Anyone got any more ideas? Remember I am on a budget as well so if we can try work between the £100 - £150 mark that would be great.
Thanks for your help. If you need any more information from me to make a judgement let me know!
