Okay. These are a few snaps of my plant. It is Northern Lights.
Indoor grow, with 4 CFLs, i water when soil is dry (i poke my finger in every day) but this is normally every day and a half. She is 6 weeks old still in veg stage. It is on a 18-6 light schedule.

As you can see from the snaps, it looks to me there are several problems with this. Its only the lower leave that are turning brown and eventually dying. where the leaves are dying there are new young leaves growing underneath them. i did have my lights close (1 to 2 inches) to the leaves. i have now moved them further a few days ago.

the points of the leaves are also drooping, sign of water stress i have read, is there a specific time i should water my plant, because i only water when the soil is dry, i dont want to overwater.

the ph of the soil is 7. i used to mix a little lemon juice with the water to bring the ph down and i started getting little flies living in my growroom. plus i then noticed discolouration of the leaves. this and also reading that for soil you need not alter the ph i have stopped this. maybe the flies have damaged the leaves?

Some leaves have light streaks going across the "veins"(sorry for the noob vocabulary).

i think it has nute lockout?? so i have stopped with the lemon juice and also the nutrients, which were miraclegro pour and feed.

i can see that as the weeks pass there are more leaves browning and honestly i feel that my plant is slowly dying on me!!

Can some experienced people please guide me and rescue my plant!?

the little flys are most likely fungus gnats, and it looks like you did some damage when the lights were inches away. The new growth should be fine. Are they getting enough Ca?
