I took these clones from an outdoor sativa about 3 weeks ago

There is clean water in the res and all the sprayers work.

Why are they wilting and why are the roots brown?

has to be the water is way to hot, aero cloners are very VERY touchy and if everything is not in order (and i do mean perfect) your plants will suffer. i didnt even like vegging rooted clones in my cloner, i get 100% success with the old humidome and rapid rooters.

I would get rid of the sprayers and replace them with air stones and lots of air,as far as the plants you have now may or may not recover,I agree that heat may be the cause, what is your res temp, room temp, and humidity,ph of your water, all these things are important and must be kept in check in order for plants to grow, keep your ph around 5.8 your res. tem under 75 but no lower than 60,humidity above70% and room temp around 70 to 75 deg. and your clones will grow

I have a plastic tray with 50 rockwool inserts, humi-dome, and a heat mat with thermostat =P Works well with rooting gel and clone solution foliar feeding~

you need to get an air stone in there.
And you need to do something about water temps. Consider running your pump on a timer, pump running on intervals will help keep water temps down.
Also consider the frozen water bottles in the res.
