Help me wire my driver..?

200-250V 50Hz input and 12-24V 2 amps c.c. output.
What do you want to power wit this driver?

Heya,
Thanks for the reply. I'm intending to run 4 "units" of LEDs in parallel.
Each consists of 6 COBs wired in series.
Around 3.5v driving voltage each. (I make voltage 14 per unit, which fits the driver).

I want to run them at about 500mA. This, to my reckoning would be 2Amps total/4 units= 0.5A= 500mA
It's loosely based on this:

Though I wanted to use a single driver and (to be honest) wiring in paralell doesn't scare me.

I *think* I've got the circuit diagram end of things, though, what I want to know is if anyone knows how to open the damn thing to physically put the wires in because that's totally lost on me... :dunce:

Press down on the purple thing while pushing the wires in the holes, I would assume, if you hadn't already tried that and if that's even the part you were having trouble with. Looks like spring loaded wire clips.

Hiya,

Thanks for the suggestions and taking the time to think about it!

BobCajun: I had a go. Nothing moves or clicks or anything- with the wires in or out. It's odd because it looks like something should happen when I press on it... but nada!
sanjuan- yeah man, neither could I.

I contacted the seller to ask about it and he said he'd look into it and get back to me, nothing yet. I hope I didn't get burned!

Pushing on the purple button must do something, probably removes the end cap exposing the terminal screws. Maybe you press and pull. Any end caps will have to come off, however they're held on.

Just FYI, you were right: all end caps do come off. I basically just brute forced it with a screwdriver through a hole in the bottom (that I guess is supposed to be used in that way).

Thanks for the help all. Will make a post once everything is built and I have suitably clean (read: anonymized) pics to show. Micro grow coming soon... I hope...
