Help Me Setup My Tent

Hello!

After having a plant suffer from bud rot, I decided something was wrong and needed a change. So I bought an additional fan, and a dehumidifier.

Only thing is, I am having difficulties trying to place the fans in an oltimal position, for the best possible airflow.

I am planning on growing 3 autos in my 2.3"x2.3" tent, however if they would get too crowded I will limit myself to only 2.

So any ideas/tips for fan placement, and any other change of order is welcomed!

First off. I wish you best of luck. Your definitely on the right track to rethink things.
I think less about lowering the humidity and more about maintaining proper vapor pressure deficit.

it might be easier to increase temperature to suit your rh average. If your space is closer to 60% rh instead of lower with dehu just set your cooling thermosat to 82-85F.
In my perpetual setup I keep it just about there. 60-65% rh and 82-85 f. With good air flow. Working to eliminate microclimates that don’t get proper circulation.

A two and a half by two and a half "inch" tent? Had to and I'm smiling.

As @Tvanmunhen suggested and @greenmachine said. A larger exhaust fan. 6" is as small as I would ever go. 6' don't suck enough air unless a crazy noisy ducted fan. Keep temps stable between lights on/off. 72F minimum. The more stable the better.

My suggestion is only one auto at a time. Move your clip on down to just below your canopy. Adjust to blow under and just through your canopy. Tidy everything up. Nothing not needed and no hanging cords or straps. All hinder flow. Tents are easy in most climate controlled (heating and air conditioning) homes. I do tight grows in a 4x4. Happy to assist you.

Peace all.002.jpg

Don't get in over you're head just yet. I have a single auto in a 2.3x2.3x5.2ft tent... it's in a 5 gal pot.. even if I went down in pot size.. 2 will not fit.

I agree that one auto in a 28"x28" is ideal.

Any decent 4" fan should be ample for such a small tent.
I have a 4" fan and it rarely gets up to even 1/2 speed, there's only ~30 cubic feet of air to move.

I agree mostly. I hate the whiny noise of most. And not so good if intakes or pre filter get blocked later in grow. We do forget to take care of things. I wish Noctua made inline fans.

Anyone now what those round things are on the floor
These work okay. All I got.

This is shaped top and bottom so it slots in between the roof and floor bars, it lets me put the fans anywhere, but just the L bracket can hold a oscillating fan far enough away from the corners to work properly.

I'd pick a different colour scheme though :-) I just needed it to work.

Edit fk L bracket I've posted the wrong photo

If You did the 1 plant in there, and get everything down, you can easily get yourself 3-4oz from the grow. Which genetics you going with?
imo.. 1 is best for that space. Both those fans can stay on the floor pushing air around, and one can be added later on up above to occilate when she gains some height.
I would get a 4" intake fan If you want to be able to run less than 80F in flower. Possibly send your exhaust outside if your intake is from a room the tent is in.

Get an AC Infinity fan, they use EC motors which run basically silent at any speed unlike the crap fans that get louder as the speed is reduced.

They're well worth the small premium in price.

Agreed. I think genetics plays it's part. I've seen some sad looking auto's.. like 1 stem.. probably 5g dry.. I haven't come across any tho.

Close. The lower fans should push up and through the canopy. Also oscillation changes angle of incident " direction blowing". Resulting in sturdier stronger stems. And always move air in from the bottom and through the top. Unless somewhere below 50F year round. Then other way. LOL.

I was suspicious of something like this considering you seemed to have everything dialed in well on that last grow. Best wishes bud I'm sure you will have that tent rocking soon!

Fusarium

Fusarium is filamentous fungi or parasites that live within the soil and feed on plants, infecting and ultimately killing them.

Depending upon the strain of marijuana, Fusarium may cause wilt, while in others, root rot. Fusarium Root Rot will turn the roots of your plant red spreading up through the stem causing it to swell, break open, wilt, and collapse.

Fusarium can remain dormant in the soil for years and is spread through water movement or after coming into contact with garden tools. If you are dealing with a Fusarium attack, you will need to dispose of everything, including the seeds.

Identifying Fusarium
• Dark spots on the lower leaves which will quickly turn the leaves a yellowish-brown color.
• Leaves will wilt but not fall off.
• Your stems will droop.
