Help me identify this bug

Found about a dozen little bugs crawling around on my sprouts. I'm not seeing any damage from them, but, any help identifying this is appreciated.

Looks like thrips to me

Curious about all the algae looking stuff in your medium? Seems like that would drown and choke out your roots.

Hey buyyouabeer, it's just a small cube of rock wool, the algae is on the top layer, I've rinsed it off and it's mostly gone now..

Well that sucks balls, I went ahead and flushed my medium, washed all the fuckers off the sprouts and now I'm looking for how to deal with thrips.

Kill them by hand. I've done it a couple times now with half a dozen bushy plants and succeeded so with a few sprouts it'll be easy enough. Safer's End All soap with some added canola or neem oil works well too.

Thank your lucky stars it's not the Borg. (mites)
