Help lighting question

I have a desk lamp that is 15 watts, it has two long fluorescent bulbs about 15 or so inches long...Would this be enough for starting bagseeds indoors in styrofoam cups until I transplant them outdoors?

If not anyone have any suggestions where to get decent cheap lights locally?

It would work for starting the seeds. It does not take much. I would suggest going and buying some CFL's. The white spectrum. They are only about 6 or 7 bucks at Lowes or Home Depot. The amount of them depends on the # of plants you intend on sprouting. Good luck on the grow and I hope this helps you...1ne Love

alright cool cool say I was sprouting about 20 seeds how many CFL'S would I need

4 of the biggest size white spectrum should do just fine.

I don't see why it wouldn't work, of course you may have better results if you use a few 100w-120w eqv CFLs (5500K+). For 20 seedlings, I'd say 10 CFLs would suffice.
