k, this is my first time ever and i really had no idea what to do..
i had 3 seeds and figured i was going to plant them just to see what happend because they were about a year old.. they all sprouted.. 1 got eated since i have them growing outside...now its been 2 months almost and the 2 that survived the one just flowered noticably had balls on it so it was a male..so i threw it out immediately..the 1 surviving one has no balls on it and on the tippy top seems to have crystals..im assuming tits a female im about 85% sure.. so now what i want to know it

1. how long until I can harvest?
2. the leafs on the bottom of the plant only have turned a slight yellow tint..whats that mean?
3. is it safe to spray it with bug repellent at this stage or no?

Question 1. Outdoor harvests depend on the environment to signal 'flower' to the plants. Patience.

Question 2. Fan leaves routinely die off as the plant matures. Unless you notice insect infestation/damage or evidence of disease, you are in good shape.

Question 3. An insecticide is contra-indicated unless you have a problem. A preemptive strategy will work if it is organic.

Good luck!

what do you think..can you tell me how many weeks until i have to harvest it???? im just scared or f*cking it up.

I am on my first grow too, but I'm guessing about another month to a month and a half before you should harvest. The buds will eventually be covered with white/clear trichomes that looks like crystals. From what I've heard, wait until the trichomes start to turn amber colored, then wait another week or so. 1/3 of them should be slight amber, then you harvest.

I am about a week further into flower than you are, and I'm really excited too!

Just tossed a bushy male... was my bushiest!! officially pissed.

Sorry had to vent a bit.
Even perceived failures are good. Males are simply a fact of nature. In my experience, any given number of seeds will result in 40% male, 40% female, and 20% hermaphrodite. That's my opinion based on my experience.

The only variable we have any control over is the environment. A plant with weak hermaphrodite probability might not go hermie if the conditions are not stressful. That's it. If a plant is male, there is nothing you can do about it. Accept it as a part of growing and move on with your grow.

Good luck.

as they are outdoor you're at the mercy of mother nature. you will have at least 60 more days id say. too early to tell on the plants sex. look for sets of small hairs. the will be comming in soon if its a fem.

LOL BUSHYNESS have no connection to mail or female wat so ever take a pic of the nodes where the stem of the leafs meet the main stalk if it has balls than its a male if it has hairs than its a female some pics would do u alot

it can really confuse you by trying to guess sex to early. but no matter how many times people say it, im going to say it again, you will know WAYYYYY before it will screw your fems... also, out of 4 plants, 3 were bushy, one was most definate a male... all 4 were named, the one named big boi with all the male characteristics, was the only one that turned out to be female, bushy doenst mean shit...
