Help I'm trying to get power to an attic over my closet..

The closest recepticle is on the wall connected to my closet, on the other side of the wall. How can I plug in to that receptical and run the extension cord through the wall and up the ceiling? That recep is my only option. Not going to use an electrician. Anyone with some ideas?

We moved. Having to start over. plants are in 6th week. got to move them!
