Fellow canadian...Can you explain the no light when harvesting and the benifit to me? IS that no light for 48 hours and then harvest, or literally chop in down in the dark???

giving the 48 hours of dark can make sure that the plant has no nutes in it , when its dark time the plants have the foods in their roots. When you crop in tottle darkness the plant won't have a chance to start to takeup any nutes and it should give you a nicer smoke.:leaf:

Is that the only reason ppl do that? I'm certain these plants have been flushed for 3 weeks using Molassas. I was more so getting at increasing the potency of the plant. Doesn't darkness force it to resin up quick in preperation for it's death or somethign:???

I always give my plants 24 hrs of total darkness before harvest. I think as long as you have flushed properly (10-14 days distilled/RO water) and/or used a flushing product like florakleen or clearex I doubt you will benefit much from harvesting in the dark vs. harvesting under a standard 20w CFL house light so you can see what you're doing. I think the benefits of well manicured buds is far greater than what can be achieved from harvesting in the dark IMHO. If you still want to harvest in the dark, why not at least get a green light bulb. Plants don't uptake nutes under green light bulbs.

Yes, giving the plant total darkness before harvest tricks it into producing more trichomes in an attempt to make seeds. I think 24hrs is enough. And I see you flushed with molasses. You should probably get a flushing product from your grow store to get that out of your plant.
