Somebody told me to go through the forums to learn about growing but all I see is code words like fim and Cola and popcorn and stuff I don't understand... Could people explain these terms people are always using?

Mate, thats like asking how long is a piece of string. Why did you post the thread mate? What do you want to do? If some of these dude start trying to explain shit you will be more confused than ever, there some hardcore growers here man, very technical. If you like me and just want to grow because you sick of buying then it's easier. Ya don't need to learn to many fancy names at first.

You need to do more research first. This is a whole new world. I got an e-book off the internet - I forget how I found it. But the fact is, as I found out the hard way, is, that growing the plants is the easy part, just like tomatoes. But getting them to produce is very complicated. You need to read up on it on your own first. Before you start. Then ask questions as they arise. Good luck.
