HELP!! First timmer here with sick babies...

These are about 7 days old today. I have them in FF Happy Frog 4:1 with perlite. I used a mixture of Thrive alive (3/4 tsp to 1 qt distilled water) to saturate my soil before planting (I only used about 1/3 of the solution i retained the rest ion a spray bottle) and have since watered 3 times with only plain water. I have monitored about 6.8 ph balance in the run off water. 1 time I wet the top of the soil only between waterings with the B1 solution. My lights are 1 90w tri band LED and 4 35w 6400k cfls placed in clip on fixtures with reflectors and about 2-3" from the tops of the plants. I have them in my grow tent which is avg 78 degrees with about 38-45% rHD.

Do I have a nitrogen or over watering issue? Is the low humidity the possible culprit? If Nitrogen...too much or too little. I have the technaflora recipe for success but was not planning on using anything but the B1 mixture until I transplant and go into vegging from seedling. Opinions please???

CFLs or any other light for that matter is kinda close at 2" for seedlings... Those look burnt, meaning you gave them more nutrients than they could handle. That soil is hot. I'd mix it with a starter soil or just use a seed starter mix first until the plant is about 2-3 weeks old.

As has been said already, leave them be, you are way too involved with those plants for them being only 7 days old. Quit smoothering them with love and affection and let them be plants. They'll survive that way....

Had the same problem with nutrients i wouldn't start using nutes until about 3 weeks in from seedling.

water if you must, but plain water. Someone will share how much and when, but that small? I'm under the same opinion, be cool, pretend you have everything under control, and leave them alone. Plain water.

WOW, thanks for the quick responses. Seems the concensus is that I am an over-protective daddy. I have taken your advice and gave them a good plain watering tonight to flush a bit but made sure they drained well. I closed my tent and it will stay that way for at least 24 hours now. I have them on 18/6 now so they waill have some 'girl time'.

honestly im a first grower..and ti'll now its been organic for me...dont put nutes...like one of the posters..use it 3weeks after..
