Help finding Seedbank/breeder/strain

I’m about to start my first hydroponic grow (RDWC/indoor/4x4 tent) so I’m looking for an easy to grow, high yielding strain. I’m located in the USA so I need to find a high yield strain, that is suitable for beginner growers, with good genetics from a reputable Seedbank that ships to the USA. Anybody have any recommendations of strains from seed banks that you’ve grown that were high yielders/easy to grow?

Try Great Lakes Genetics
Local in US
solid Rep
Strains are always subject to pheno's
thanks!
Yeah, I know. With that being said tho, do you have any recommendations for strains that are generally easy to grow, and are known for big yields?

No strain can be categorized that way
Every strain has different pheno's and so you can talk in general terms but not specifics
Keep in mind big yielders usually lack in flavor or potency
and there are no absolutes in strains
In fact if you and I grew the exact same clone it would probably turn out indifferently for both of us
Ask on the seed forums you are looking to purchase from :weed:

I just got some feminized seeds from JBC. Schomba and Dracarys. Bubba kush crosses. Supposed to be high yield. I haven’t popped them yet. Will do so sometime this week. But they’re katsu seeds I got through JBC. delivery was less than a week. There’s a pre-98 bubba thread in the grow journal section that has some great pics of katsu’s strains.

Go to Sensible Seeds, click the feminized link at the top of the page, select the search options you desire on the left, click show. They have hundreds of breeders and thousands of different strains in stock.

yeah I know it’s not absolute, that’s why I said generally. I know you can’t for sure say this strain will be this easy and yield x amount. I just meant strains that people generally have good experiences with, even tho my experience will be different. It’s always a gamble, I know, but id like to have the best odds possible!

Are you a total newbie because if so I'd not run anything other than soil my first time out, it is a lot more forgiving to mistakes and uh oh moments. Good luck.
nah not a total newbie, but I wouldn’t consider myself incredibly experienced either. I’ve had good results in soil, then I tried coco for a bit with good results as well. There were errors in my first soil/coco runs that I didn’t anticipate, so I know my first hydro run could end up being a total shit show, but I do want to learn hydro. We all gotta start somewhere ya know? If anybody has any advice/warning on common mistakes people make when first learning hydro, i would definitely very much appreciate it.

Would you say they’re reliable with the quality of their seeds? I’ve read some stuff on here that’s got me all skeptical and shit about breeders/banks lol. Also, how is their shipping to USA (central). I’d like to get them in the next week or so.

Well before Covid I recieved all of my orders in under a week. They ship out of the UK and I'm on the west coast in Portland. I was actually amazed at how fast they arrived. All in breeder packs and the freebies were also in nice packaging. I haven't ordered recently and shipments may not be as fast at this time but they are definitely a legitimate seed bank. They've been around for years. In fact most US breeders are in their lineup. It's like Amazon for weed seeds. The selection is massive, they accept bitcoin, have excellent prices and price match.

Now if you're in the central United States I have heard of people having things intercepted because you're going through Customs in Chicago. But I've tracked all my shipments through Customs in San Francisco and they went through in under a day no problem.

The quality of the seeds is whatever the quality is from the breeders. The seeds are all in original breeder packs. Most of the freebies are Sensible Seed branded but they get bulk seeds from many different breeders so I can't say where they came from. I do know that all of the Sensible Seed branded freebies that I've grown ended up having excellent results. Their Night Nurse will put you into a stupor. It's pure couch lock, high THC mayhem. I only smoke that before going to bed. If you smoke it in the morning you won't get anything done and waste the entire day. I've never done a THC test but it's pushing the limits. If grown right it's probably a 25% THC candidate.

Sensible Seeds is a legitimate seed bank from our friends on the other side of the pond. Use them without worry.

You can use a CC to purchase an amazon gift card and then use that for your order. They don't accept CC directly.

I'm looking for us based also. It seems that great lakes genetics is worth a try. Bodhi and useful looks like the favorites. I'm leaning toward bodhi. They have what's trending in my area. I am going to try an order from across seas as a bonus. I haven't grown in years and I'm about start again. When I did I grew some brick bag first and it was quite delightful. I started a thread on it to test hydro vs soil for my first grow. I also ordered some seeds. I ordered through attitude and I believe sos. They arrived in about 2 weeks to the Chicagoland area. I won't be ordering for about a month, so I'm checkin out where to go. Been all over these forums and it seems like a lot people like a lot of gear...go figure lol
