This is my second grow. My first grow was all white widow and produced 4 ounces of GREAT bud from soil.

I expected more so I went hydro with a botanicare ebb and flow system. The rest of my setup is:

400w MH lighting
A 392 CFM inline fan from s&p (fucking great quiet fan)
And GH flora series nutrients.

Okay for background I think I went way heavy on the nutes due to mistranslating info about ppm and also not using distilled water. I was at like 800 ppm for seedlings and clones. I started seeing burn , so I dropped it down to 550, then changed the water and came in at 450 ppm ... I just adjusted today down to 250 but i want to make sure I am doing the right thing and it is not more than the amount of nutes.

When I went to 300 the plants started growing again after being stunted for 2 fucking weeks!!!!

Please help because I should be one week away from flowering but as you can see I AM NOWHERE CLOSE!!!

I AM DYING TO SEE ALL THE GOOD THING FROM HYDRO THAT I HAVE READ ABOUT ON HERE!!!Cheese plant problems 004.jpgBig Bang plant problems 001.jpgWhite Widow plant problems 002.jpgJack Black plant problems 003.jpg

You obviously over fert you plants and hurt them alot, good move on droping you ppm to 300, next time you'll know better. seedlings should have no more than 100 to 250. You're going to have a hard time saving them, but you might be lucky....good luck. I use GH Flora series with great success.

Did you wash your hydroton good before you started? I use flora nutes as well when it called for 1/4 strength i gave ladies half of that 1/8 strength and they were just sprouts. I agree with dee tee, to much nutrients. I would flush and clean your hydroton. You may be able to save them but you may have to start over to. I would do my best to save them. I also use the fload and drain with hydroton. It is a vey nice set up. The clay holds the moisture. I water mine 3 times a day 3 minutes each watering while lights are on.

Ok...thanks..when i get home im gonna drop it down from 250 to 200...

Can u guys give me some tips on how and when to increase the nutes after they recover

Yeah....i thoroughly washed the hydroton..unfortunately i got some bad advice from the makers webaite on ppm...leastthey are alive....whew!

The best sign of when to crank them up again after that is when they are growing again and look healthy. Just like when you have a stomach flu, you don't want to shove a ton of food down. You just want enough to keep you alive and functioning. It may even be worth flushing them with plain water for a few days to get them drinking again.

Once they look strong and you start seeing new growth, you could start slowly turning up the nutes again.

A good rule of thumb with seedlings is to go quarter to half strength on the nutrients and keep an eye on them. If you see any sign of wilting or yellow, back it off to nothing.

Found this on a site a while back and find it useful, you can adjust 'till you find the best solution for your grow. hope it helps
