Help!! Did I do LST wrong??

Hi hi all,

X post from Newbie central

On the advise if someone in another thread I started LST on my leggy girls after I had them topped at the 6th node.

The one in the pic is a Gorilla Breath planted on the 15th of Oct and topped 2 weeks ago

they are leggy and I dont mind as I want to grow large but I’m not sure the”S “ shape I’m doing is right?

should I just let the main cola grow and tie down the side branches out?
I’m so confused and I’m hunk I fucked it now

Does a wierd shape affect yield?F1EC4AC6-1E5D-4BDE-A184-D6490705E707.jpegF1EC4AC6-1E5D-4BDE-A184-D6490705E707.jpeg43793C9E-AF8F-492D-AF26-17218C9E9914.jpeg1AF26B5C-8ED3-4C53-B369-E3C4F8F87515.jpeg4ED00EE3-9F01-4323-9408-EA13E10E110C.jpeg

looks just fine, don't sweat it. They have a long way to go. And you did just fine.
Don't worry about the yield yet. The "s" shape is fine and if you really want to go big, then the shape will end up changing anyway as the plant grows.
Keep bending and tying her down. Then think about supercropping the trunk and branches. And finish in the biggest pot you can.
Good luck friend!

Thank you very much!! That calmed me down!

Im a bit scared of super cropping (novice grower - 2nd grow with 7 plants) because I don’t really get it. Do you have a good resource I could turn to?
Thank you again for the reply!

What is super cropping?
I thought the training bit was the super cropping?

Super cropping is the process of actually, partially breaking or crashing a stem or branch. It causes the plant to redirect hormones and nutrients and actually strengthen the area that was purposely damaged. Done right it can help improve structural strength, nutrients delivery, bud site development, shape of the overall plant (for the space you are growing in), and shorten internodal spacing.
Its sounds scary to people new to it sometimes. But super cropping is actually a very effective way to train plants, once you get used to it.
First thing you do is pick the spot you want to suppercrop (I start low on the plant, just above a node). WAIT!!!, sorry the first thing you need to do is,, get a roll of electrical or masking tape,, in case of an accident, keep it handy! Then with your thumb and index finger, begin squeezing and slightly rolling the stem between them (sometimes you don't have to roll the stem, just the squeezing will get it done).
Second, you will feel the stem begin to crush, you only want to feel it start to happen.
Third, using your thumb as a fulcrum (on the inside of the intended bend) use your index and middle finger (on the outside of the intended bend) to gently bend the stem in the direction you want it to go.
Thats pretty much it.
After the first S.C'd area, above the node, heals. I will repeat the process just below the same node. And then do the branches that belong to that node soon after. It makes for a great big main stem that can better support a larger, bigger budded plant. This plant had it done several times, you can see the effects of what we are discussing on the main stems and where the branches join to them-20201119_124345.jpg
It can also be done to constrain unruly plants tops, that are trying to outgrow their given space.
Good luck friend!

I decided to do it to an auto I have that's taking it's time. This is the main cola in the center. I trained branches to make a hole for it, and laid her down. She's nice & even now, and I was able to drop my light lower on the canopy.
