Help determine sex + Topping growth

I topped my plant about 2 weeks ago and let it heal up since I was about to switch to flowering. Since i've switched to flowering I replanted the same day, and my plant is growing rapidly. I cut out of where the growth in the picture is and new leaves seem to be coming out of this instead. Does anybody know why this might be??

Also I was wondering if anybody could tell me the sex I know its early only 2 days in flowering but I was thinking the things along the stem under the growth looked like female preflowering. They have been there since the first few weeks of veg. The thing is where they are new leaves are growing out of those? The pic might look like a seed on the left but its a new leave growing out of it the picture quality just sucks and I couldn't maneuver a good photo.

Anybody also thinks my plant looks a bit clusterfucked? I feel like its growing so tight when others plants have growth more spread out.0720142207.jpg 0720142207.jpg 0720142207a.jpg 0720142207b.jpg 0720142208a.jpg 0720142208b.jpg 0720142208c.jpg

how long did you veg for before switching to flower? i don't veg for very long currently, but they are usually taller than yours when they go in. i'm curious as to what lights you are using--s/he does look compact. too early for sex-those look like new branches trying to form to me.

Along the middle at the bottom, I think I confused those for pistols. Are they actually stipules instead?

As for lighting 2 GE 100w replacement (26w actual) 2700k 1650 lumens soft white fluroescent bulbs. This is a micro gro its my first so I'm just learning basics and actually its about 8 or 9 weeks old right now Its been through some hell.

Also what could be the cause of tight growth like this

That is one unhappy looking plant.

... just have to wash your hands with dawn twice a day for 3 days and that problem should clear up...

you're plant needs more light. a lot more light. at eight to nine weeks old, i'm impressed she is still hanging in there! :-) okay, it's a micro grow--where are you growing it? what is your height limitation? Get More Light!! :-)

Why do you think this will help?

its a 12 inches tall, 12 inches long about 6-8 inches wide. I figured 52w combined would be enough for that space I could add another 26w CFL but It makes the heat too intense. Would the risk be worth it? Also its kinda crammed with another light in there my plant wont have enough space to grow i feel like so id have to remove the light eventually.

i am not a micro grower. outside of how small she looks, her general color looks okay, some burn at the tips. do you have the box or whatever you are using set up to get airflow and try to vent the heat in any way?
as you said, this is an experiment for you, so keep using the current set-up and see what happens. with experience, you'll dial in your setup.
with the lack of light, and the height & width limitations you've imposed on yourself--you won't get a lot off of her. but it will be a great learning experience and then you can go from there. hang in there. you'll get this!:peace:

Its just a pc box, a small one, so I expected it to be just an experiment to get general idea of growing down. I have a larger box with a different strain, better lighting 78w CFL in it thinking about adding another 26w if the heat is alright. Thanks for input by the way appreciate positive criticism.
