Help! Damn flys

Its been scorching here in the uk the last few days and we have had a invasion of theese tiny black flys, yesterday upon tending my garden i found a few in the tent no where near the plants but its got me non stop ticking over in my head. My top soil isnt overwatered or left damp and when i move the coco on top no black flys emerege so theres no way it can be fungas gnats can someone please take a look at this picture and either set my mind at rest or set me hard at work destroying the barstards, thanks in advance!

If youre sure this is neither gnat nor aphid, than I would bet on winged ant

Sure looks like a fungus gnat. What kind of pots are you using? If they're not cloth and have drain holes the gnats can occupy the soil on the bottom of the pot through those drain holes.

I get fungus gnats every time I use fresh coco, it's like a game of whack-a-mole. Eventually I eradicate them until I decide to use more fresh coco.

My first thought was winged ant. More importantly bugs r just bad this year, no matter where you are it seems. I've been doing this for a long time and this year is the first time ever I have had flies try to attack the room my drying tent is in. They don't go in the tent cuz its dark, but they are constantly trying to get thru the window and hanging out by veg lights once they get in. I'm supper annoyed with this shit

Me to i dont believe they are causing harm i just don't want them there as they have never been before. Ive put tights on my inline and deep cleaned my tents.

Not an expert and pic is bad but I don’t think fungus gnat wings protrude that far beyond body?

Definitely not a flying ant . Ants have a 3 segmented body

I wanted to say sweat bug...i looked it up ...maybe idk...sweat bugs may look diff depending where you live

Yes I have seen the picture and it is crap. You may want to make a better foto

I would say gnat but idk the pic is bad and not sure how smooshed it is just looks like huge wings for a fg imo

You said last days, if you counter hot and dry climate those days I am still with the ants untill some usefull pics provided… anyway you do not want them or aphids in your grow and you definitely do not want gnats as well. I have never seen such an ultimate death of the plant in no time when it catches disease from gnat larvae. No hassle, take handfull amount of your medium from your pot and have a good look at it in natural light. If you see larvae or maggots, you should take some action. If not you should take care about total restriction of access of those flies or whatever it is. Bringing them inside with your medium can happen, when the supplier sax, but letting them going inside because you have not secured your intakes thats not good and you may regret that for long time. Hopefully youll be fine.

Thanks for all input and sorry for the bad picture i acted right upon finding it yesterday fully cleaned the tent out and went overboard on preventing any more from Entering, i took a handful of my coco from my pots nothing alive or lavaish in there so that's ruled that out, just me overthinking as usual .
