Hey folks,
I think I want to embark on my first grow, and I'll be keeping it simple and discreet with 1-2 plants to test the water. I have pretty much everything ready to go, except I'm struggling with picking a grow light. I've read a lot of the light discussions here on Rollitup and decided I'd maybe like to go with LED, specifically the 90w UFO light, or a similar unit - but I'd rather have some expert opinions before committing to a purchase!
Ideally, the lighting I'd like to use would be non-ballast, low energy consumption and have a relatively cheap price tag - probably unrealistic expectations, but I thought there'd be no harm in asking!
Sorry for the "hold my hand!" post, but I have a phobia of spending money on something completely useless!
Cheers for any advice!
Edit: I've started building my own grow 'tent' - just a simple wooden box affair, it's a 1.5m square base, 1m high cube. The inside is lined with diamond mylar sheeting and there are a couple of holes cut for getting cables in. The lid of the cube lifts off for easy access - I'm hoping to somehow attach my lighting to the lid so I have a compact, all in one grow box.
