I'm writing this because I want my opinion out there. These are opinions and beliefs from my life experiences. If you don't agree you have that right, if you do agree with one or more then the time is coming brothers and sisters. So if a moderator reads this and decides it should be somewhere else I understand just best place I found to put it under the topics.
First I would like to say I support all those men and women brave enough to continue their god given rights. (Whatever god you believe in or if you don't believe in a god at all no judgement either way)
The first time I smoked a joint I was a freshman in high school. I got high it was cool and I didn't touch it again until I was a senior. I had been conditioned by a society, that not 100 years ago thrived on industrial hemp and was founded by great leaders and thinkers who loved to smoke marijuana, to believe in the health risks and the detrimental impact on the society as a whole. Man, had I been misled.
I smoked for almost 5 years on a daily basis after starting as a senior and stopped smoking cold when I was to be a father. Do I believe that smoking would have made me less of a father, no. I simply had to get a better job to support my family. And better job meant drug testing. And one that would land me in prison.
Marijuana should be legal, it should be taxed, and it should be regulated. But the actual sell and growth should not be in the hands of the government. I love America, don't get me wrong but the local, state, and federal government is the biggest joke of democratic government the world has. And as you move from a local to federal level the discrepancies in what the people want and what the people get exponentially multiply. And for all those people that are going to jump in and start bashing me as anti-American should probably just stop reading now and go stick you head back up whatever a%% you pulled it out of.
Every true red or blue blooded American knows that big business controls the government and that we as normal citizens have little influence over the laws that govern us. Why is that? Because we as individuals worry more about our individual needs and wants the the betterment of society. The truth is I'm no better then any other person in the world and with out legal training, I could actually design a governing system that by far exceeds the current structuring of the legislative, judicial, and executive branches of the government. I would need help but that is what we have 313 million Americans for. But for the in depth details of such a system I deter to another post for another time. Way to long. But for example, NO MORE CAREER POLITICIANS!!!
So as I either make you stark raving mad in the future or hit that part of you that seeks change, at least I have have made the neurons fire. Because thinking and debating is the only way to make the world a better place. But following these actions are what it will take to have a truly wonderful life for as many of the people in the world as possible. You can't please all of the people all of the time, as a matter of fact your lucky if you can please a few of the people a few of the times.
Okay now I'm sorry got to rambling and ideas mixing back and forth. So now to help I'm going to make a list of what I thinks is important for all people to understand.
1. No "God" would ever condone the slaughter of people in his/her name.
2. No government should be able to control the citizen to a point that their beliefs and thoughts don't matter.
3. No government should have any form of religion in it EVER, as it only serves to alienate the people who don't follow that religion.
4. Governments should be there to serve their people, not the government serve the wealthiest.
5. True wealth doesn't come from monetary worth or the number of things you have.
6. No one person should ever have so much power that it can negate the needs of the many.
7. Ultimate power, ultimately corrupts.
8. The majority of people in the world aren't rich or well off, yet are controlled by those who are.
9. No country, nation, or state has any right to tell another what they can or can't do.
For the example of the United States of America. The Federal government should only be there to protect the country as a whole and insure a cohesive union of the states but never supersede the right of each state to govern itself. (Also that most countries in the world illegalized marijuana on an international scale at the behest of the American Government and pressure. May not be true but seems likely)
10. No organization or agency has the right to control the flow of information.
11. The only and I mean only thing that an average citizen does not have the right to know from there government is military operations that require a form of secrecy to insure their strategic and effectiveness. However these should all be highly regulated and have an oversight of civilian persons.
12. And one of the last ones that should be stated at this point and time. Free the weed and the people will follow.
Having written this and felt this way for a long time, I hope I've made people think. And even in the marijuana sub-culture I'm sure I've pissed some people off. But I close with this, all people will never agree with everything, all the time but the important part is that people realize this and try to work together to turn this world around. I'm done. No more soap box for now.
Please if you made it this far, reply. Add your opinions. I truly believe that the way to make a better world is to free the weed, free the people and watch the constraints of oppression break free as people can move to a better way of thinking. I am but one person so in your respective nations and states do your research and open your eyes to the overt oppression that you blindly walk through as you bumble through a mundane existence.
P.S. If the black helicopters don't come get me. I'll be back on in a few days to check for the flow of opinions and information.
Genesis 1-11,1-12 "And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed was in itself, upon the earth and it was so."
"And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good."
