Height of plants in grow tents

From experience what height can you generally go to with a grow tent (6.5' approx)?My setup will have a air cooled reflector and a carbon filter.

Plants can probably be 4' to 4-1/2' tall. What size bulb? The more heat it outputs the farther it has to be from the canopy.

A 600 watt air cooled. Tube style reflector.
