height of hood

I was planning on getting an aerogarden 6 for my second grow. I was was wondering how high the hood went up and if it can come off?

Well, I have 6 Pods in my AG. However, it's branded as the VeggiePro.

the Hood does release and is powered by a Figure 8 plug. (Same kind as you would have used for a Portable Stereo, PS2..etc..etc..etc.. Are found at your local Radio Shack)

My AG VeggiePro goes up about 3 feet before it releases.

I am sorry I do not have details regarding the Ag 6
