Heat stress?

Does this look like heat stress to you guys?

I have 3 plants all from the same bagseeds, in all the EXACT same conditions and this is the only plant exhibiting these signs. It is positioned in the middle of the other 2.

I'm doing an organic closet grow, good airflow, temp's 82-75, 12/12, end of week #1 flowering, watering about a quart to quart and a half every 3 days, 6x 40w 2700k and 2x 26w 6500k CFL's positioned 2" away on average.

This plant has always looked a little droopy but seems to be getting worse. The ONLY thing I have done different with this one is a little folliage trimming but that was like 3 weeks ago.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

looks over watered.

Thanks for the quick reply Fdd.

I completely understand why you say that, it does indeed look as though it's overwatered. However, I am giving all three plants the exact same conditions, i.e. watering, and this is the only one that exhibits these signs.

The only thing I have noticed is that this pot weighs slightly less than the others. Is it possible that this plant is drinking more for some crazy reason and is dehydrated?

Any other opinions? Thanks again, I'm getting worried!

Sometimes channels form in dirt, diverting water straight to the drainage, and thus, not reaching the roots very well (if at all). I dig around in my planters with a bamboo skewer to collapse any tunnels and keep the watering effort uniform. Also aerates.

There are lots of things you can use other than skewers. Don't force cultivating tool thru any solid obstructions (big roots).

Interesting Fishy.

You think it may be that I am just not saturating it enough during watering? I do normally stop watering when just a few drops of water begin to drip. Is 1/1.5 quarts every 3 days sufficient for an 8 week old plant in it's first week of flowering? They're in 2.5gal pots.

Thanks!

Awesome tip Fishy! I've noticed this because sometimes i get bubbles in the soil when i water....which tells me there must be a direct hole going all the way to the bottom of the pot. At least thats what I think it is, lol

If you know you are not over watering and the temp has increased in your grow area try using 'Silica Blast' it works great

Now that looks like the stuff that every grower should use! And temps have increased a bit since changing lights. Did you buy it locally (walmart, lowes, etc) or online? I found it on Amazon, eBay, etc. but would prefer to buy local if possible.

Thanks Kali!

I would still like to get to the root (no pun intended) of my problem though. Any other thoughts?

FWIW, I do this after I water and drain (helps top dry out faster, deters certain insects) and during watering IF the water gets backed up in the planter.
It's not generally necessary to penetrate all the way to the bottom of the planter. I probably go in 4-6 inches.

You may be surprised how much additional water comes out after you've aerated, having already drained once. Probably another 10-20%.

I have a plant that looks like that, still not sure, i think mine has both over water and heat problems lol

Im fortunate to live close to a hydro shop thats where I bought the Silica blast. I dont think you will find it at a general store, maybe at a good nursery.
