Heat Shield [LOOK]

Never seen or head about these before..
But can anyone confirm the use of these "Heat Shields"
Could be a decent investment for just £14.99

dont knock it !

try it !

the smaller one is £5 at Grotec.

the middle one is £14.00

and the large is £21 for a 1000w.

i think grotec are the cheapest in the uk.

dont bash me on that.

but you can buy a 600w ballast, shade, and dual spectrum lamp for £70 as a package.

i've seen these b4 but never used, i think they break up the hot spot right in the middle of the bulb, either way you really don't need it. Anything blocking light or redirecting it i would be skeptical of.

you need it if your plants are tall and your grow room is small and you have ran out of lamp raising space this will grab you a few inches, wink.

Thanks for the reply's, yeah I agree looks like it could block a'lot of light.
Gonna give it a miss unless I really need it.

The description on the website itself says " A Heat Shield deflects the light and heat from immediately underneath the light." if it deflect light of course that will mean less heat but then why wouldnt you just use a smaller light to begin with???

• how about just tying them down and keeping your light as is>?! a few feet of chord will be cheaper than any shield or grow-tech unit​

yup, id skip that crap, bend the plants over and tie down, dont block the light your paying for!!!
