Heat problems in new setup

Hi all...
I decided to try growing a try so I bought myself a 3x3 tent with 600w dimmable light with air cooled hood. Also have a 4" carbon filter and 4" fan and 6" fan.
I have a couple seedlings on the go in a small separate area under CFLs for now.
I put the tent together and hooked up the venting like this:
Filter >hood >6" fan > window
Also have the 4" fan as intake through the bottom of the tent.
I had the light at 600w but the temp was 85 and rising. So I turned it down to 75% (450w) and both fans going full blast and it came down to only 80F.
I'm not sure if this will work or if it's still a little too warm?
Also...I'm wondering if the 4" carbon filter is the weak point in this setup. Not able to pull through the CFMs that the 6" fan is trying to pull...too restrictive?
Or...should I maybe run 2 exhaust fans like this:
1. Room air >hood > 6" fan> outside vent
And
2. Carbon filter > 4" fan > outside vent

I'd like to run the light at 600w if I can get it cooled down enough.
Any ideas besides using an A/C?
Thanks!

Major factors...
1. Temp/Humidity of air surrounding tent.
2. Temp/Humidity of tent intake air.
Often the same.

Ideally, you need a source of cool intake air. How cool depends on air flow rate, light heat, fluctuations....
Search on "lung room" for more technical info.

Yes a 4" filter will restrict the airflow. It will also not clean the air going out properly if the fan is a higher cfm than the filter.

Your ambient temps are going to be your biggest factor. From there you can work out how much airflow you will need to get a lower temp rise.

Got any pictures of your set up?

I switched my venting today. I've got the 6" pulling ambient through the hood to vent outside. And the 4" pulling through the carbon filter to outside vent also.
Right now at 600w light it's sitting at 82F with a fan inside and one blowing into the intake flap.
At the 450w setting....it was sitting about 78

Yeah I was testing it out and thought I'd throw them in there for a few hours but I did turn down to 450
