hey guys so i got my closet grow started and they're just starting to pop out of the rockwool and clay balls. since they're coming out and actually have green showing i put up my 600w mh, but after 10 hours of being on it's really heating up :( it used to be in the mid 70s with nothing in there and now it's at 91. i really don't like this heat, it can definitely bring unwanted attention since it's on the top floor closet. is there something cheap and easy i can do to cool my stuff down? i have a big box fan in there, and a fan with a litte vent blowing on the bulb, but still it climbs past 91. it's nice and cool outside so i was thinking of making a tube for intake but it would be really noticeable since it'd have to go across my room to get to the closet. is there something cheap i can do with ice or something? i'm sure i can think of something i just want to know if anyone has a confirmed method. the sooner the better, i hate worrying about this type of stuff.

oh yeah the light is 23'' away, they're growing fine so i assume that's an ok distance. i had some in germination for an extra day and they grew some bigger roots in the wet sock i had them in. i carefully took them out and put em in rockwool and buried em in the pebbles. i drenched the rockwool in ro water. is this legit or did i do something wrong? i'll add pictures when it's worth it lol

theres NOTHING short of a proper air cooled hood or cooltube system that is going to get the temps on a 600w bulb down

I would have to say ventilation so maybe make the cool tube an exaust also, then heve a nice fan bringing air in would help a couple degres but if you could bring it to around max 86 or somwhere around there would do for now.

so i went to goodwill and found a sweet 2 foot tall humidifier/cooler with swiveling blades. i put 4 gallons in it and it works like a charm. it even has an ice tray :-P i kept moving it around and playing with the temps. at one point it was 88 F and 70% humidity. i think the way i have it setup now is the best so far. it's at a steady 80 degrees with 30% humidity with the lights on at night. other rooms are in the mid to low 70s. on a hot day i think it'll only get up to 88 or so. anyway i would post pictures if i could find my camera cord, it's a mess everywhere. hopefully tomorrow or after that day i'll have some up.

i'm kinda wondering about my mylar. i've taped it down lots. and i'm about to go out and buy some double sided tape and do it all over. but the fans make the mylar wave a bit. i figure it's no big deal but what's the word from you guys? any problems with your mylar shivering around gaily? or is it this blackberry kush playing tricks on me?:bigjoint:
