Healthy Seedlings?

They seem to be stretching a bit. I have 2 cfl's but they might be a bit too hihg, im gona bring the plants highter to remedy this hopefully. They seem to be slow too, about 10 days ish and still quite small. Any help?

Im no expert but it seems to me that your plants arent getting enough light. Either try adding more light or move the existing lights closer

look at my plants at 10 days under 400w MH/HPS system 16/8 of light

And This is the same plants 4 days later at 2weeks of growth.

yeap, I think the are stretching. put thay light way closer

Put those CFL's about 4 inches away from the tops of the plant and get more.

You are gonna need a lot more than 2 CFL's for the 8 plants in the picture

alright more lights it is then - I'm only using what I have on hand so I'll get a splitter and more bulbs and hopefully that'll do the trick. I'm just watering at this point also - no nutes right?

You think 4 cfl's total would do the trick?

CFL's isn't something you can limit to '4'. They come in more than one wattage. Look at the lumen output thats listed on the box for every bulb. Given the CFL doesn't direct light as well as HID, I'd get 3000 lumens or more within 6 inches of your seedlings. Watch the heat.

I believe those things emit more light out of the side of the spiral than the head of the bulb.

Yeah theyre 26 watt bulbs - hopefully itll be enough and if not ill have to buy more. Its strictly to start the plants off

Woah... wait a sec it looks like you have about 9 seedlings there and you're using 2x26w CFLs only? I'm also doing a CFL grow at the moment, I've got 6 plants under 6 105w CFLs.

2x26w CF: wont cut it mate, barely fine for seedlings (as GRizzlyAdams says you'll need at least 4) but for veg and flower, no way mate.

man, ive got to get moving. I just want to keep them alive... I hadn't realized I was falling so short. Off to the hardware store I suppose. I have 2 26 watt and 2 smaller ones, ill probably put more in tomorrow though
