i have two plants one with major problems and one with minor.
first plant-
aurora indica form nirvana, about three months old, in miracle grow moisture control soil, about a gallon sized pot. topped after about three weeks and using lst to place the tops.
using distilled water with occasionally added nutes, schultz all purpose plant food, something like 24-8-12 but usually at about 1/4 strength and maybe once a week, i only water as needed awaiting droopiness before watering.
pH is not monitored regularly but i did a soil sample test and i was a little high at 7.0.
it is in a small metal cabinet with pc fan intake/out, 8 cfls, mostly daylight 23w, but added a 42w 2700k, and a 23w 2700k
temps have been high but not over 90f
the plant was transplanted to a larger pot about ten days ago, and recentely suffered a spidermite trauma, it was treated with an alcohol soulution of about 50% misted regularly, and then some organic insecticide soap, other plants went through the same thing and have not shown these problems. there seems to be no more pest problems.
the problem-
leaves are basically just dying, large black areas develope quickly and basically just crumble when touched, it is not effecting the very top sets of leaves on any of the tops. there had been yellowing. this mostly effects tips of leaves but has turned up in the middle of the leaf blade in many places.
it looks like the damage that once occured when i tried using a halogen lamp on a plant, where the leaf parts have just melted, like a death ray hit them.
looks very serious.
i will post pics tomorrow but i would appreciate any ideas in the meantime.
i have not found ANY pictures in the faq that look quite like my problem.
this was untill just recentely the best plant in the batch.
i'll make a second post for the other plant problem, seperate box, different symptoms so i assume irrelevant.
