Hey guys is having a fan and a exhaust fan necessary for your grow box, could I succesfully complete a grow without them? And if I put a fan in, is a exhaust fan needed too? or can I just go with just the fan?

thanksss!

And aside from heat issues, the plant needs to breathe. They take carbon dioxide and turn it into oxygen - just as humans do the opposite, turning oxygen into carbon dioxide. I'm not sure quite what happens, but the plant would suffocate as the oxygen levels got too high and there wasn't any carbon dioxide for it to take in.

Also, I would recommend having an exhaust fan. An intake fan isn't as necessary from what I've read, as long as there are vents for air to come in through

yes. simply put holes in your grow box to allow air to flow thru. and a fan(s) is just as important as the light or the water.

Does this mean you dont need fans blowing on the plants if it is cool enough in the grow area with lots of air getting sucked out? Like with low heat in a LED situation?

from my experience having the fan too close is bad but you need circulation, so keep it as close as possible without having the plants blown around a bunch..(especially young plants)
