Have your say on seed breeders

Hi everybody
I haven’t been on the forum for a long time and wanted to get a feel for what’s been going on in the world recently with seed breeders.
I wanna know most importantly which BREEDERS you have had good results with.
Also would be good to hear the names of any seed BANKS you have had problems with.
I will share my experiences over the past few years below
I’m starting this because I’m sick of wasting precious growing time using seeds that have had no work put into them.
Also it’s bad for peoples confidence when they think it’s them who didn’t perform well when really it’s the genetics of the seeds!
Please take a minute to list the names of breeders you have had good results with and list any seed banks to watch out for.
Hope to get some responses from people so we can all enjoy better growing
thanks all

So here’s a list of breeders I’ve used personally
DNA GENETICS
SPACE GENETICS
ARCHIVE SEEDS
TGA SUB COOL
HUMBOLDT SEEDS
DUTCH PASSION
BARNEYS FARM
JINXPROOF
DUNGEON VAULT GENETICS
KARMA GENETICS
ROYAL QUEEN SEEDS
BREEDERS BOUTIQUE
I think that’s it so far.

Straight to the point people from my experience with all those breeders theres 1 who stands out from the rest and that’s karma. Both regular and feminised seeds from him have both been very uniform consistent stable and true to there description.

I have had much better results with feminised seeds than regulars overall! Maybe that’s normal I’m not sure but when I’m popping karma regulars and ending up with little variation in the plants it tells me it’s possible to buy regular seeds and still have good results.

DNA, HUMBOLDT, and DUTCH PASSION feminised seeds all performed great for me overall.

ARCHIVE SEEDS gave me some of the most unique smells and flavours I have ever experienced but the plants were not uniform had vastly different structures and didn’t give me much yield at all.

that’s my experience people, so far I have had best results from karma genetics but as you all might or might not know the seeds are had to come by.

im not saying the other breeders I have listed are a waste of time! I’m just saying for me a couple repeatedly shine through compared to the others.
thanks

Dynasty seeds are great.

Dynasty seeds suck.

I think I covered it.

But for real I've had good experiences with them.

You're going to get opinions all over the map. Some will say X breeder is great and someone else will say they're stuff is garbage.
exactly! I don’t expect to learn anything from 1 individuals experiences but if we are lucky enough to have many people say the same thing about a certain breeder then that would give me some confidence in buying there seeds! That’s what I’m aiming for!
thanks for taking note

I’ve had really good results with DNA / Reserva privada. The sour kush was phenomenal. The tangie was very terpy and good smoke, not strong enough though. Tangilope was also very terpy with nice buds and packed with trics. I’ve also had amazing results from Cali connection’s Deadhead OG. So strong, so packed with trics. The smell was like rubber, fuel, and some phenos legit smelled foul but somehow in a good way. I’m running DNA’s Grow Your Own Florida Gold now, crossing my fingers it’s as good as described. Also just popped some Dinafem OG Cookies and a Cali Connection 818 Headband, fingers also crossed! I’ve heard nothing but good things about Dinafem.

I didn’t like Riot Seeds, the GSC we ordered about 7-8 years ago ended up being some really weird plant that was totally purple (like no green at all on the flowers) and smelled heavily of lavender. Decent weed but not the cookies. I think we had germination issues with the riot seeds too.

I would love to run Rare Dankness ghost train haze #1 but it seems like nobody talks about that strain or breeder anymore. I’d also love to run some karma next time, and Bodhi.

If you’re in Canada, I recommend True North Seed Bank. Everything I ordered arrived quickly and the beans all seem viable so far. They always pack freebies with every order. So far, I’ve encountered more positive results than negative. So much so that I have nothing to really gripe about. I do my homework and buy beans after doing a lot of reading, and check out various grow journals before I pull the trigger. I’ve actually had better results with feminized DNA and CC beans than clones I’ve grown of commercial kush

I think the worst plant I ever grew was a DNA feminized Grape Kush, this was about ten years ago, I don't think they even have it on their menu anymore.

The best plants I've grown personally have come from Bohdi, and AK Bean Brains. Also, Moon Shadow from Norstar was excellent, although it is a cross of two Gooeybreeder strains, so I don't know whether to give credit to Norstar or Gooeeybreeder for that one.

To me personally, a breeder that produces strains that are true to the description is very important. Being "uniform consistent stable" is definitely a good thing, but is not the only positive attribute by which I judge a breeder's work. Honesty is probably the most important criteria for me when it comes to breeders and is something that in my opinion is hard to come by with breeders these days. I don't really care if it is consistent or stable if it is not what the breeder says it is, or if they stole it from another breeder, renamed it, and claim it as their own. Not implying anything specifically about any of the breeders previously mentioned, just a general observation of the majority of the breeding community by in large.
