Have YOU tried miracle gro expand n grow?

I'm currently experimenting with a soil i've never used before on 2 of my plants. It's called expand and grow by MG and i'm hoping its gonna do the trick. The bag says the soil has a ratio of 0.45%-0.15%-0.30% and the potting mix isn't like any other potting mix i've used, i read somewhere its mainly compressed coco which is pretty awesome stuff. It has amazing drainage and is very fluffy and light. The main question is... will my plants be able to survive without adding any nutes at all? Or will i have to add nutes to my water still? How much of a difference would there be if i did or not?

Thanks!

I use regular Miracle Grow potting soil that has that it feeds up to 6 months on the bag. I have used it with good results. I didn't feed any nutes until I was 2 weeks into 12/12 and that is when I started cheap Walmart brand bloom nutes with a NPK of 15-30-15. I was buying some soil just yesterday, but this is for an actual yard project that I am currently doing. Anyways I saw the stuff that you are talking about and it's pretty expensive for the size bag that it comes in. It's the first time I have ever seen it, so I have no clue if it will do what you want. Most people trash miracle grow soil and nutes, but I just don't want to pay a fortune for Fox Farms or some other soil that I have to buy at a Hydroponics store. Good luck I wish I could help.

Rep for keeping it simple. MG works and works well

sweet thx for the replys guys, i think im just going with the wind on this one and if i notice anything bad ill post it up since i don't see too many people or any grows at all on the internet with MG expand n grow potting mix, it might be a new product

kentuckyboy did you have any issues after giving the bloom nutes ?

No, but I started them out at a 1/4 dose of nutes to a gallon of water to begin with and worked my way up to 1/2 dose of nutes. I just watched my plants closely to make sure I didn't burn them up. Less is better just remember that because when you use to much it's almost impossible to correct.

so? what's the outcome? is MG expand and gro working? any problems with it? I've started a new project with it and I'm curious. Measured the pH of the soil and it's around 7.5. I'm starting from the seed.

I worked previously with MG soil, I got good results, only problems - gnats as said above, but I managed them with naan oil and this soil need a Ca supplement. I am curious about this "expand and gro"
