I have seen "red dragon" but it wasn't the original. People will throw out names on whatever they have to make it more appealing. No experience with the seed form.

I have grown BF Red Dragon. It was ok. Nothing spectacular, nothing I would grow again, but it was fine at the time and not a waste of the space it took up.
Yield was a touch above average.
