Hash??

Hello everyone!! I am about 7 - 10 days from harvest and was wondering if anyone had any good ways of making hash?? Last harvest I used ice and water and screened it out.. Easy enough, but would like to try something else. I felt like I lost a lot..:peace:
 
yeah i have a video where a guy freezes the clippings and mushed everything through a silk screen. then packages,boils, compresses and bakes it. if you want i can send it, but it sounds to me like thats what you do.

I would be interested, the process I used took no heat. Ice, water, a blender and a silk screen. Please do send.
 
yes that is it, an amazing video.

i love how anxious he is to tear the paper apart when it's done to get to the hash. like a kid with candy :)
 
maybe look up how to make iso hash or butane hash. both use chemicals to seperate the thc from the plant matter, the butane boils off at room temp, leaving you with pure honey oil. what strain are you growing that finished this early??? got any pics?

put dried trimmings in a blender, fill with just enough 99% isopropyl alcohol to cover the mj, and blend for 2-3 min... strain through a reusable coffee filter (or a variety of other screens, depending on whats availible)... let the iso evap and you get some lovely tar that will put you to sleep
 
So hash is from the bud clippings, can female leaves be used as well or are clippings required for everything? I haven't watched the Youtube vid yet.

Yes all your trimmed crystallized leaves, beats throwing them away huh..
 
Question:

I'm looking to make hash from my males; would there be any advantage to allowing them to blossom first? I'm planning to keep my big guy alive for breeding anyways and i could do that with all my males if it would improve the quality of my hash.
