Hey guys, my local hydro shop carries that ONA GEL odour killer, all you do is unscrew the cap set it in the grow room and it kills all odours.. or so it says, has anyone used this before ?

Ona gel works, I currently have 4 ak plants flowering and it gets rid of the smell. I do not know about larger operations though.

well my box is 3x3x4. So its not huge 3 -4 plants i guess if it works for AK it should work for anything except mybe skunk ?

My grow area is a little bigger (im using a closet under my stairs) and it covers up the smell completely. I have never grown skunk so I do not know, I can't say. I am assuming it would work, ona gel is powerful.

Did you use one of those big tubs of did you get one of the little jars ?

all you need to do is put the ona gel in the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket, cut holes all in the sides of the bucket for air to escape and then mount a fan on top blowing down on the ona gel... it works WONDERS for odors and should get rid of odors for ANY strain.

they have a scent, at least the ones they carry around here have a couple different scents you can pick from... just smells like a glade plug in thing really... i picked the fresh linen scent.

Its good if you cant afford anything else, it does cover the smell quite a bit but be warned. I have heard a few stories of people using Ona gel during flowering and their buds "absorbed" the smell if you will and made their buds taste like the stuff. You should check the odor control thread in here theres alot of good ideas. I ended up buying a carbon filter/can fan combo from HTG supply. It was only $150 at the time but they dont have it on their site anymore =(. But if you have a little money to spare the carbon filter/can fan combo is your best choice you'll never smell nothing in that room again.

So i found this thing called the febreeze tru air purifier or something like that (it is at walmart) for 20 bucks. It is a mini carbon filter and the thing works better than ona gel, it does not have its own scent.

carbon filter the best i use both in a grow tent jel helps during flower and drying smell gets bad pending on what you grow go with both my suggestion

when jel gets old and start to shrink add boiling hot water to rejunivate
