Has anyone tried sexing this way ?

I was wondering if you can take a branch off of the plant and put it in a cloning setup like you normally would except run the lights 12/12. Then find out the sex of your plant that way and have a clone at the same time. Is it going to be too much stress on the plant trying to flower and grow roots at the same time ? I figure this way I can keep the plant growing in veg. I know most of the ways to sex a plant so I don't want answers telling me to do the basic things in the grow faq, I'm just wondering if this way will work or not. I just wondered if it was worth trying before I wasted time doing it or any for seen problems that might arise, like causing problems for the plant I took it off of.

My vote is for 12/12ing it the moment you see a root. I doubt it would thrive very long without abundant light.

Wuddup la, im pretty sure there are a couple of people who clone using 12/12 from the beginning, but it doesnt show sex any faster. The cutting has to concentrate on building a root structure before it can develop genitalia. At least this is what i understand of it anyways. But it is definitely possible to clone from 12/12, i know that much for sure.

i believe that your way is a common practice, but you need to veg for like 10 days to get roots, then flower the clone.
